Planthoppers associated with maize crop in Argentina.(Insecta - Homoptera - Delphacidae)

Eleven species of Homoptera Delphacidae associated with maize crops in Argentina have been identified. The species cited have been collected with net trapps weekly in Sampacho, Río Cuarto, Córdoba province during four years and were obtained from different agricultural experimental stations of Argentina. The study of this material gives the possibility to list the Homoptera Delphacidae associated to the crop; and to bring information on taxonomic, distributional and bionomics aspects. This paper contains a key for the identification of all the species found in maize crop.
