Tagosodes orizicolus (Muir, 1926), Vector of the "virus de la hoja blanca del arroz" (HBV) in Argentina (Homoptera-Delphacidae).Tagosodes orizicolus is the most important natural vector of the "Virus de la hoja blanca" (HBV) del arroz (Oryza sativa) in Central and South America. This disease only attacks Gramineae and causes a great loss in rice crops. In this contribution information is given about the host plant and its geographic distribution in Argentina and neighbouring countries. Besides some notes and illustrations about the most relevant morphological characteristics are added.
