Aphids of argentine Patagonia with description of Aphis intrusa sp. n. (Homoptera: Aphididae).
A survey of the aphidfauna of Patagonias biogeografic province, specially in the district Payunia in the north region, was made between 1989 and 1996 by means of the inspection of plants and captures in water yellow traps. Samples coming from other areas were analized too. It were detected 107 species of 9 different subfamilies of Aphididae. eight taxa represent new records for south America, 19 for Argentina, 49 for the Patagonia and 44 for the province of Mendoza. They were found 181 new relations aphid-host plant where 81 were with cultivated plants. It was found and itīs described a new species of Aphis genus.
